A year had passed. A year since she had last been together with her uncle. Much had she had to learn and weeks turned to months, and months turned to a year. Wisteria had missed him very much, wondered if he did the same.
So when she finally entered the hall of her home, her father’s home, she let her graze wander, immediately searching for him. Minutes passed as she wandered through the halls, asking for her uncle but not finding him. Where could he have been? Wisteria walked some more but then sat down, thinking where to go next.
Since Fili’s capture, his health had been declining. He was no longer a warrior, nor did he find his work back in the Forges. He returned to his brother house with a stiff back and crippled legs. But with all of his new disabilities, only one thing was on his mind. Wisteria.
He heard footsteps echo through the house. They were too light to be Kili’s but too hard to be Tauriel’s. It must be Wisteria.
Fili sat up from his armchair and picked up his cane, hobbling out of the room. He saw her at the end of the hallway and tears formed in his eyes. He always thought of her like his own daughter, and always grew jealous when Kili reminded him that she was his. “Wistera.” His voice echoed through the dim hallway.
